Caring 4 Seniors Foundation is an honored recipient of a grant from the Alzheimer’s Association Center for Dementia Respite Innovation, empowering us to provide adult daycare mobile respite care services in underserved communities in Albany and Dougherty County, Georgia.
How Is the Mobile Health Program Helping Seniors?
The adult day health mobile program is staffed by a highly trained team of a nurse, caregivers, and church volunteers who promote dignity and independence as well as safety and a higher quality of life, through individualized services and engaging activities such as:
- Health status monitoring
- Medication management
- Educational resources
- Coping strategies and self-care techniques
- Music therapy
- Art classes
- Reminiscence therapy
- Gentle exercise
- And more
Benefits include increased socialization and engagement to stimulate cognitive functioning, proactive detection and intervention for any healthcare needs and challenges, and overall enhanced wellness. We work closely with both family members and healthcare providers to ensure a collaborated approach to care. We also provide family caregivers with opportunities to step away from their care duties to take much-needed time for self-care, while having the peace of mind in knowing their loved ones are thriving under the care of our skilled team.
